Museums of History NSW is a new cultural institution that brings together the historic houses, museums and collections previously in the care of Sydney Living Museums with the vast archives and records in the NSW State Archives Collection.

The National Archives of Australia holds material on immigrants and refugees, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, members of the defence forces, government employees, subjects of surveillance by security and intelligence agencies, or as prisoners of war or internees. Records held by the Archives were generally created after 1901. It does not hold records of convicts, of colonial migration, or of nineteenth century Australian history such as the gold rushes or colonial administration.

The National Library of Australia (NLA) is the largest reference library in Australia, responsible under the terms of the National Library Act 1960 for maintaining and developing a national collection of library material, including a comprehensive collection of library material relating to Australia and the Australian people. The collection ranges from the earliest European works about the Great Southern Land to the most current publications.
The NLA also hosts and manages the renowned Trove cultural heritage discovery service, which includes access to the Australian Web Archive and National edeposit (NED), a large collection of digitised newspapers, official documents, manuscripts and images, as well as born-digital material.
The National Museum of Australia explores the land, nation and people of Australia, focusing on Indigenous histories and cultures, European settlement and interaction with the environment.

NYPL Digital Gallery provides access to over 300,000 images digitised from primary sources and printed rarities in the collections of The New York Public Library, including illuminated manuscripts, historical maps, vintage posters, rare prints and photographs, illustrated books, printed ephemera, and more.

The Noel Butlin Archives Centre (NBAC) collects business and labour records from Australian companies, trade unions, industry bodies and professional organisations.
The NBAC holds the records of large companies such as the Australian Agricultural Company, Burns Philp, CSR Ltd, Dalgety's, Tooth and Company and the Adelaide Steamship Company as well as those of smaller businesses such as pastoral stations. The records date from the 1820s to the early 21st century.
Search millions of book records, and search across the full text of 1 million scanned books. Open Library is a project of the Internet Archive, and is funded in part by a grant from the California State Library.

The NSW State Archives Collection documents the daily work of the NSW Government and its agencies from 1788 to today. With more than 14 million items, it is the largest collection of records relating to the history of NSW, its environment and the lives of its people.
The collection includes a diverse range of items and formats, such as letters, files, photographs, maps, posters, film, video and e-records.
State Records NSW is the NSW Government’s records management authority. State Records NSW provides oversight of recordkeeping across the NSW public sector and supports effective and efficient recordkeeping by setting standards, promoting good practice, monitoring recordkeeping practice and compliance, and providing guidance, advice and resources.

The Vaughan Evans Library is part of the Australian National Maritime Museum at Pyrmont in Sydney. It contains migration stories, family history, shipping records, maritime heritage and naval history of Australia from the 1700's to today.

The resulting pages point to other archived pages at as close a date as possible. Keyword searching is not currently supported.
