Access Conditions

To use eresources in the Library, you must agree to the following Access conditions.

To use eresources from outside the Library, you must also be a New South Wales resident and have a current Library card. You can sign up for a Library card online.

When accessing resources, you must abide by the following conditions:

  • Use of the databases is governed by licence agreements between the publishers and the Library, and users are required to comply with the terms and conditions of the licences.
  • Use must be for private research and study purposes only.Use is to be by the registered individual only — access is not transferable to other parties.
  • A limited amount of copying or reproducing of material from the databases is usually permitted for private research and study purposes only. Users should observe any copyright or terms of use statements appearing within the databases and act in accordance with instructions. Users must comply with the Australian Copyright Act 1968. Information on copyright is available from the Australian Copyright Council.
